How to Answer “Why Do You Want to Be a Teaching Fellow?”

Intro: This question appears in almost every interview. Here's how to make your answer stand out.

Do:

  • Mention real experiences

  • Link to your career goals

  • Show insight into the role

Example: "Teaching junior colleagues during ward rounds helped me realise how much I enjoy education. I see this role as a bridge to a future in medical education, combining clinical care and teaching."

Don’t:

  • Be vague ("I like teaching")
